Cheap and cheerful budget accommodation

Needs a few simple fixes to make this a great place to stay Positive: The apartment's location was great for walking to the beach or into the centre of Surfers Paradise where there is stacks to do. It was also easy to access the main roads for driving to other areas / places like the theme parks. The place was well set out, comfortable and has obviously had some recent decorating and upkeep done as it (mostly) looked great. Negative: Unfortunately there were a few minor issues that reduced the quality of our stay. The taps and shower dripped constantly, (unless you turned them off so tightly, that they were almost impossible to use again) and there was a very limited amount of hot water - barely enough for 2 very quick showers - which wasn't great with 4 guests. There were some broken tiles just outside the front door that were a bit of a trip hazard. The directions to find the stairwell that led to the apartment seemed clear until we arrived. It then took several minutes of snooping around to find what we needed - especially as the building name that was displayed on the building didn't match that of our booking reservation. Lastly, there were no curtains in one bedroom and the second bedroom had curtains that didn't fit the windows. These are all easy to fix issues that will hopefully be done soon, because this really could be a great place to stay. The biggest issue we had with our stay, which we only found to be an issue when something completely outwith the owners control occurred, was that the windows were not sound proof in any way. We discovered this to be a problem when a car alarm was going off for 15 hours straight including throughout the night!
